LOOK TO THE LORD

1CHRONICLES 16:11

11 Look to the LORD and his strength;  seek his face always.

12 Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,

13 you his servants, the descendants of Israel, His chosen ones, the children of Jacob.

14 He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth.

15 He remembers his covenant forever, the promise he made, for a thousand generations,

16 the covenant he made with Abraham, the oath he swore too Isaac.

17 He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant:

18 “To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion you will inherit.”

. . . . .

21 He allowed no one to oppress them; for their sake he rebuked kings:

22 Do not touch my anointed ones;  do my prophets no harm.”

. . . .

25 For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods

26 For all the gods of the nations are idols,. . .

RESOLVED:  TO GROW

Fight the good fight of faith. . .1 Timothy 6:12

FAITH FOLLOWS LIGHT

The entrance of thy words giveth light . . . Psalm 119:130

KNOW YOU’RE NEW

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:  old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. . .

2 Corinthians 5:17

SAY YOU’RE NEW

I am crucified with Christ:  nevertheless I live;  yet not I, but Christ liveth in me:  and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.  Galatians 2:20

BRAND NEW MAN

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.

1 Peter 2:2

The Lord at work: BY KENNETH HAGIN, SR

 . . FOR THE BATTLE IS THE LORD’S. . .      I SAMUEL 17:47

“Don’t get into any trouble,” my mother called after me as I went to face a family crisis, “So and so almost whipped Dub!”

“I’n not going to get into any trouble,” I answered.  “ I’ll never have any trouble,  I’m going to put the Lord to work.”

As I approached the driveway, the wife of the man who had caused so much trouble met me.  She began to rant and rave, and just plain ole Texas “cuss.”  I thought, Dear Lord, here is this poor old soul, full of hate and selfishness, and she can’t help being that way.   She can’t help having the nature of the devil in her, because she’s a child of the devil.

I didn’t say a word to her, but I said to the LORD in my heart,  “Thank God, the Greater One is in me”  (1John 4:4).  And I acted like The Greater One was in me.  And He is greater.

She must have sensed the compassion rising up in me, because she suddenly looked up at me, and sputtered to a stop.  Then she took hold of  my hand and fell on her knees, crying,  “My God, put your hands on my head and pray for me.  A poor old soul like me needs something.  Oh, my God, pray for me!”

I hadn’t said a word to make her say that.  All I had done was acted like the Bible was true.

Confession: The Greater One is in me.  And I’m going to act like it!
